Introduction

The growth of the information and communication industry shows a pattern of expanding and reproducing technology, industrial development, changes in policy and legal system, and changes in society and culture. The ICT Social Research Series aimed to examine and analyze this model in relation to the development and growth of the information and communication industry. Through the comprehensive framework of knowledge creation industry, this whole process is viewed, and the new media diffusion model and strategy are derived and the industrial ups and downs of each field are analyzed. At the same time, it analyzed the same context as changes in policies and legal systems in response to industrial changes. In addition, an analysis was conducted on the convergence development of information infrastructure and cultural contents under the theme of the importance of the information and communication industry.

Expect Effect / Research Utilization

The basic goal of this research was to theorize the growth experience of Korea's information and communication industry and knowledge creation industry, and to develop models and spread them into academic transfer. The ICT Social Research Council will be disseminated to the academic community and used as a raw material for research. First, based on the information and communication industry, Korea's experience in knowledge creation, which is leading the new growth paradigm of the Korean economy and society after industrialization, presents the results of three-dimensional reviews and views in various fields, including government policy, entrepreneurship and industrial cases. Through this, it can contribute to spreading the understanding of the new paradigm shift process of Korean industry in the era of post-industrialization in the international academic world. Second, the international proliferation and applicability of the Korean development model in the field of information and communication and knowledge creation can be reviewed from the international perspective, and the authoritative academic work can be led to share its key success factors with the international academic community. Third, it can contribute to leading the direction of policy for the leap into a knowledge-creation country by deriving the policy insight and direction necessary for Korean society to transform itself into a knowledge-creating society after modernization and industrialization, and to display the attractiveness and competitiveness of the nation throughout society. Fourth, the theoretical model for the proliferation of new media presented in this study is expected to present the theoretical framework of the research on the diffusion of new media to be carried out in the future. It can contribute to the systematicization of research on the process of spreading new media. Finally, this research can induce universal use of the model developed on the basis of Korean experience by pioneering a completely new field called the combination and convergence of information and communication infrastructure and cultural contents, presenting theories and models about it, and further supplying very powerful and descriptive theoretical concepts to theoretical discussions in this field.
