The goal of this study is to establish a copyright service framework based on the blockchain information on new art works held every year at the museum.
In the first study, research was conducted using literature analysis and group in-depth interview (FGI) method, limited to art works in special exhibitions conducted in art galleries. The results and contents of the study are as follows. In the art museum, a special exhibition means an exhibition with a special purpose. As a result of FGI, four framework strategies were established. First, the art content copyright of the museum can be divided into collections, concept of special exhibitions, archives, installation and directing, design media, publishing, and R&D results. Second, the collaboration work of the planned exhibition is carried out by the director, curator, editor, and creative writer. Therefore, in the art collaboration life cycle, the results of documents, images, and videos until art works are created require transparent settlement, distribution, and management based on blockchain. Third, a research model for an open collaboration framework was presented in the entire process from the creation to distribution of new art museum works. This is a model that suggests problem-solving for profit allocation that can solve problems according to copyright. Fourth, a fintech system based on the art work blockchain was proposed. The results of this study will play a great role in the creation and use of art content under the blockchain, and will have a great influence on the commercialization of art content copyright services and the development of the art work industry.
In the second study, research was conducted by dividing it into the expansion and development of the art market, the expansion of illegal copying of art content, and the necessity of art blockchain research. The purpose of this study is to propose a framework for converging blockchain technology into copyright calculation, settlement, and monitoring of art content. The results of the study are as follows. In the art content copyright demand survey, the results were presented by investigating and analyzing the problems of art copyright. Second, in the calculation of art content copyright, the direction of the rate for copyright was proposed based on the setting of detailed standards and value calculation. Third, in the art content copyright settlement standard, a method of dividing copyright calculation differently according to the nature and type of use by media was proposed by dividing it into collective use and flat-rate settlement, fixed-rate settlement by sales case, and exposure ratio settlement. Fourth, the art content copyright monitoring framework proposed the direction of the art copyright monitoring framework. Fifth, the art content copyright blockchain framework proposed copyright blockchain elements and technical approaches of art content. Through this study, it will be possible to establish a sound and transparent copyright establishment system for art content copyright revenue.
In the 3rd study, the study was conducted by dividing the importance of art content generated in art galleries, the need for reliable art NFT copyright by artists, and the need for art copyright NFT services. The purpose of this study is to present the direction of the platform for executing the framework and service of the art content copyright blockchain available in the art museum, and the study was conducted as a method of quantifying the target group interview method (FGI). The results of the study are as follows. First, the problems of art content copyright in art galleries and the domestic and foreign status of the NFT market were analyzed. Second, a detailed design of art copyright metadata structure and smart context under the art museum was proposed. Third, a copyright service management plan was derived by proposing an art work NFT distribution framework. Fourth, GPIA tokens were developed to implement and test NFT services for art works. Fifth, a strategy for commercialization of content copyright by market available in art galleries was derived. In conclusion, through this study, a framework for the service system and systematic approach of copyright blockchain that can be used in art galleries was proposed.
The social, industrial, and economic contribution of the research results is expected to increase the transparency and efficiency of the content ecosystem through activation and recycling of content blockchain services of 1,000 museums, art galleries, and science museums in Korea. In addition, it is expected to be an academic basis as the first study of blockchain on art content. Therefore, through the results of this study, it can be used as an art-related blockchain service by museums, art galleries, and other government institutions, and art content became a driving force for entering a global Korean Wave content powerhouse in the future. Through this study, it can be used to generate profits for art contents for hundreds of thousands of new artworks created in domestic art galleries every year, establish a sound and transparent copyright establishment system, activate user-centered open services through legal use of secondary contents, and discover new profit models. In particular, the art content distribution service system based on blockchain in art galleries can be used as policy/system/legal access to transparency, rationalization and rights protection, and self-sustainability of new art content creators through systematic art content copyright management and utilization. The consumption and distribution system of art contents in the museum is rapidly specialized, advanced, and diversified in the form of One-Source Multi-Use. Since the museum is a non-profit organization and is partially operated by government subsidies, it is an institution with very low financial independence. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute a lot to the independence and management improvement of art galleries. In addition, art creators will be able to give transparent value to the settlement and distribution of opaque art works, and this study will be a leading study of art blockchain at home and abroad.
In order for this study to be used in the future, blockchain service legalization must be established in terms of law and institution, and in terms of service, an NFT platform based on art content archives applicable to art galleries must be established. In terms of the utilization of this study, it is expected that many studies on art content blockchain services will be conducted as an academic basis for blockchain services based on art content. In addition, additional research should be studied to improve the profits of art creators and improve the financial independence of art galleries. In addition, when research on reliable distribution services of art content is conducted, research on art content blockchain service will be completed. Therefore, many juniors hope that a lot of research on art content will be conducted based on the above research.
